Deep Dive – Documentary – Edit, Camera

This is a documentary project I worked on with a small team of students. It’s about a student program that takes college students from the Midwest and lets them do field research in the ocean while also adapting to living in the community of Layton, Florida. I got a lot of underwater filming experience from this project. I was the chief picture editor for this 30-minute picture and I’m proud of how it turned out.

 

The Long Path Ahead – Documentary – Edit, Sound, Camera, Color, Direct

This is a documentary project that I made for my Senior Show in college. This film centers on a special environmental program at Goshen College and tells the story of the major community project they decide to undertake. Circumstances made it difficult for me to recruit help, so I played essentially every role in this production. It was very fun and challenging.

 

Homecoming – Promo – Edit, VFX, Color, Camera

During my time at FiveCore Media, I spent a lot of time working on short promotional videos for the city of Goshen, Goshen College, or whichever other client was knocking on our door. I got a lot of professional experience working with Blackmagic cameras, being in communication with clients for review processes, and editing in the Adobe Suite and Davinci Resolve. Here is an example of my work from when Goshen College was having its Homecoming weekend.

 

Three Groups One Story – Documentary – Camera

This is a documentary about Mennonite history and the story of how three different religious sects migrated to America and eventually found each other and a new home. For this project my production team and I traveled to South Dakota for one intense week of reenactment shoots and filming a multicam public presentation.
